- Fetal echo concerns
- Bluish color (cyanosis)
- Heavy breathing
- Poor feeding
- Rapid heartbeat
- Lethargy
- Failure to thrive
2. Visit Pediatrician
Consult a pediatrician for evaluation. Pediatrician will assess symptoms and make an initial diagnosis.
3. Referral to Pediatric Cardiologist
Contact a pediatric cardiologist for further evaluation. Pediatric cardiologist will perform a 2D Echo and other diagnostic tests.
4. Diagnosis and Medical Management
Diagnosis confirmed; management plan made. Depending on the diagnosis, treatment options could include:

- Catheter procedure
- Surgery
5. Consult Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon (if surgery is recommended)
Meet with a pediatric cardiac surgeon. Surgeon assesses the child for surgery eligibility and discusses options.
6. Surgery Planning
Surgical intervention planned as per advice. Surgery is scheduled and pre-surgical preparations made according to the child's condition.
7. CICU Transfer and Observation
Patient is shifted to the CICU for close observation. Once the patient stabilizes and is no longer in critical condition, they are transferred to the ward for further care.
8. Discharge
After recovery, based on reports, the child will be declared fit for discharge. Discharge process completed.
9. Follow-up
Follow-up visits are crucial for recovery. These visits check the development and ensure there are no further recommendations.
